Unfortunately, the Small Business Administration (SBA) was caught in the crosshairs of the recent government shutdown, along with other critical agencies. When SBA stopped approving loans and ceased regular operations, the consequences were felt by small businesses, entrepreneurs, and the economy. The purpose of this hearing is for Members to hear firsthand how the recent shutdown has impacted small firms, small business lending, government contracts, and the overall economy.
