Chairwoman Velázquez Announces September Hearings

Washington, D.C.— House Small Business Committee Chairwoman Nydia M. Velázquez (D-NY) has announced several Committee hearings for the month of September:

Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 10:00 A.M.: The Small Business Subcommittee on Rural Development, Agriculture, Trade, and Entrepreneurship will meet for a hearing titled, “Growing the Clean Energy Economy.”

Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11:30 A.M.:
The full committee will meet for a hearing titled, “Utilization Management: Barriers to Care and Burdens on Small Medical Practices.”

Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 11:30 A.M.:
The full Committee will meet for a hearing titled, “The Role of the SBA 8(a) Program in Enhancing Economic Development or Encouraging the Growth of Minority-Owned Small Businesses and Minority Entrepreneurship.”

Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 10:00 A.M.: The Small Business Subcommittee on Innovation and Workforce Development will meet for a hearing titled, “SBA Programs Spurring Innovation.”

Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 11:30 A.M.:
The full Committee will meet for a hearing titled, “SBA Management Review: Small Business Investment Company Program.”

Hearings will be posted on the Committee’s website one week in advance. Witness testimony will be posted within 24 hours after the hearing’s occurrence.

In addition, all hearings will be livestreamed on the Committee’s Youtube page.
