Washington, D.C.— Today, House Small Business Committee Chairwoman Nydia M. Velázquez (D-NY) announced the five subcommittee chairs and the members that will serve on them during the 117th Congress. Subcommittee chairs were selected via seniority and confirmed unanimously by other members during the committee’s organizational meeting.
“Our new subcommittee chairs represent a diverse array of districts across the country, but they are all united in their passion for helping the small businesses in their communities,” said Chairwoman Velázquez. “These legislators will tackle substantial problems this Congress as we work to help small businesses rebuild from the COVID crisis. Under these members’ leadership, I’m confident that these subcommittees will be productive during this session in crafting policy that generates a real impact in entrepreneurs’ lives."
