Washington, D.C.— Today, House Small Business Committee Chairwoman Nydia M. Velazquez (D-NY) announced that Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) will serve as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Underserved, Agricultural, and Rural Business Development. Rep. Tenney’s appointment follows the passing of former Subcommittee Ranking Member Congressman Jim Hagedorn (R-MN).
 
“I’m pleased to announce Congresswoman Tenney as the new Ranking Member of this critical subcommittee. As a representative of a largely rural district and a committed advocate for small businesses, she will bring an important perspective to her role as Ranking Member,” said Chairwoman Velázquez. “I look forward to working with Congresswoman Tenney in her new capacity to find ways to uplift underserved businesses of all kinds as they continue their pandemic recovery.”
