Washington, D.C.— Yesterday, House Small Business Committee Chairwoman Nydia M. Velázquez (D-NY) and Ranking Member Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO) led 44 members of Congress in introducing H. Res. 1076, a resolution recognizing May 2nd through 5th as National Small Business Week. Since 1963, the nation has celebrated National Small Business Week annually to recognize the enormous contributions of small business owners and their employees.
“This National Small Business Week, we celebrate the tremendous progress that small firms have made form the darkest days of the pandemic. COVID created a once-in-a-lifetime crisis, but today small businesses across the country are back to innovating, creating jobs, and moving their communities forward” said Chairwoman Velázquez. “Small businesses are leading the way in our recovery from this pandemic, and I’m proud to join my colleagues in recognizing everything that they do for our nation.”
