Rep. Nydia M. Velázquez (D-NY), the top Democrat on the House Small Business Committee, released the following statement in support of the White House’s decision to nominate Hannibal “Mike” Ware to serve as the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Inspector General:  

            “Mr. Ware, SBA’s current Acting Inspector General, has a long and distinguished tenure in federal oversight. It is my great hope that if confirmed, he will continue to exercise rigorous oversight of the billions of dollars that SBA grants in loans and federal contracts. It is crucial that the interests of America’s small businesses are prioritized above all else, and I believe Mr. Ware is a smart choice to fill this role.”
