05-21-20 Virtual Forum
Thursday, May 21, 2020 | 1:00 PM
On Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 1:00 P.M., the Committee on Small Business Subcommittee on Innovation and Workforce Development will hold a virtual forum. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, many small businesses have attempted to keep workers employed and maximize their chance of long-term survival by filing claims under their business interruption insurance policies. However, too many policyholders currently believe they are being unfairly penalized by not having losses covered, despite taking the prudent step of purchasing business interruption insurance in the first place. This forum will give Members of the Committee the ability to hear from policyholders and interested stakeholders about this important issue impacting small businesses. This virtual forum will take place via WebEx, information to be provided separately.
